In this regard, the newspaper « Marca » Spanish, said on Monday that Morata decided to reduce his salary, in order to move to Atletico Madrid this month, in search of an opportunity to prove his abilities, and play on a regular basis.
The Blues pay the Spanish striker a large salary, estimated at 9 million euros a year, tax-free.
For his part, Atletico Madrid’s Enrique Cerezo will not be able to make the decision to include Murata before a player is eliminated to finance the deal, with either Gelson Martins or Nicolas Kalinic expected to leave.
